Focus, Persistency, and Consistency from FREE to FULL FEE

What gets me excited is clients who are creating great success.  I love growing businesses and love to see clients expanding beyond our original engagement.  First let me explain my definition of a client, “Once a client, always a client.”  That said, when a client and I continue to communicate as referral partners and friends I still see them as a client.  For example, Sharon has been a client since 2005.  We have done a fair amount of exchange over these many years and continue to do so today. Over those years we have become close friends.  In that time she has done a variety of businesses.  Today I get extreme pleasure from getting her weekly email.  Today she is in the throws of creating two online businesses around healthy living which often include a video.

Sometime ago I wrote an article on Focus, Persistency, and Consistency (FPC) https://www.integritysd.com/articles/is-there-an-order-for-focus-persistency-and-consistency-2/.  Today, with the availability of the Internet, FPC makes our businesses even more capable of creating huge success.  How disappointing it is when I receive an email expecting a wonderful online video from one of my clients to only receive a typed communication. The day that I am expecting my Thursday communiqué from Mike and it does not show up in my email in box, that is a sad day. We get in the habit of an expectation then to only have an empty promise.  We come to rely on entertainment or information on a regular frequency.  These days we want to be entertained once our client/service provider has delivered the type of content that provides us with valuable consistent information.  We want more of the same.  We want a consistent message.  We create an internal need to be entertained.

An example of someone who has used the Internet effectively is Marshall Goldsmith.  I know him as the “Coach for the Fortune 100.”  Do a Google search for Marshall Goldsmith.  Last time I did so he occupied all the entries on the first four pages of my search.  Frankly, I stopped looking after the first four pages.  How he does this is by posting everything he does or will do on the Internet.  Videos, past/upcoming presentations, articles are all posted on every social media access available.  Now you might say, “Well, he is so successful that he probably has someone doing the posting for him.  I don’t have the time.” For you my suggestion is simple.  Do what you can do to create greater success doing so with FPC.  If done regularly you will eventually create consistency and a treasure chest of content.  In 2001 I wrote my first article for INTEGRITY.  Today I have nearly 200 articles on the Internet.

The why that this is so important is credibility.  My dear friend Stan provides an extremely pleasing analogy of this why.  When we write something on a piece of paper that might be considered the lowest level of credibility.  A printed document such as a business contract or your local newspaper is the second level from the bottom only because they are printed on paper.  Documents become more credible, as in a glossy brochure or nicely printed coffee table magazine.  In today’s fast paced cyber community the Internet is the place to go for checking a company’s credibility.  In most cases when people plan to do business with you, the first place they go today is the Internet.  Marshall Goldsmith has four pages of business credibility as posted on the Internet.

To go further to increase credibility, use video postings.  Video is the next best way to grow your business and develop know, like, and trust relationships.  With today’s technology it is easy to create quality videos, which lead you to developing quality offerings for money making on line business.  Therefore, as you want your on line business to flourish, keep those videos coming on a regular basis.  Make sure the quality is the highest you can afford and be consistent with the frequency.  Be sure that your image is what you want your clients and prospects to be looking for.  Your message needs to be consistent.  When providing something for free be sure that there is value.  Avoid having your online presence become a distraction.  It can become a distraction from your main business because clients and prospects get one thing expecting another.

My message today is focus, persistency, and consistency is even more important than it was when I wrote the article in 2010.  Keep your prospects and clients interested in your offer.  When creating value in offers that are FREE keep them coming until those FREE offers become FULL FEE offers.
